so today is a very exciting day for me (and my husbandufflemuffin)...

we quit smoking 20 weeks ago today!

we were both long time smokers, and have tried to quit (together and separately) many times before. we have NEVER been this committed and have definitely never lasted this long. i am in it to win it and this time, it's for good!!! i have absolutely zero desire to smoke and i'm really really proud of jamie for sticking with it (he did not go willingly).

for those who want to quit and have failed before (basically anyone who as ever smoked, ever!) - for us, the patch worked wonders. it's a little bit expensive but its completely worth it. smoking will cost you a lot more in the long run, in more ways than one!

tonight is my second quilting class - again I'm excited, but I don't know what to expect! I can only imagine things get harder from class one !

i've been really busy and i wanted to say thank you to all my new (and repeat) customers who have come to me for their special events like weddings, birthdays, parties, and also for gifts for their loved ones. i know there's a lot of choice out there - especially on etsy - so i'm really grateful for those of you who chose me. it's so fun to work with new people and it's even better to have people come back for a second or third helping! it means a lot !

i received the loveliest package today.

i placed an order on etsy from stefaniexu, and with all the busy-ness surrounding me, i completely forgot about it. and today, my gorgeous smiling postwoman rang my doorbell and brought me happiness !

obviously etsians have a knack for packaging that i aspire to with every order i ship. although this was simple, i felt like i was getting a present from a good friend. it was one of those silly little things that makes you like, sublimely happy.

to say "link" is an understatement!
she devoted a whole post spotlighting me!

i nearly fell over when I read how much she enjoyed my one man show!
my mother always told me i'm an aquired taste.

It is so kind, and full of great, clever writing!
(i just typed "righting". for the record, i'm really tired)
