ok so it's to the point where i feel incredibly stupid for saying i cooked another martha stewart recipe. but seriously, it is virtually impossible to go wrong.

Last Night's Menu:
Grilled Striped Bass with
Lemon and Caper Mashed Potatoes and
Cucumber Salad with Sour Cream and Dill Dressing

with

Strawberry Tart for dessert.

i thought julie & julia was SO CUTE.
well, the "julia" part, anyway.
i saw it with my mama and she was the perfect date.

if you love to cook and don't care about being the only
pre-menopausal person in the room - go see it.
the amy adams part of the movie was pretty dull but the julia child part
was delightful enough to ignore the boring bit.

i wish they just made it ONE movie about julia child!
would have been much better as a biopic-
her life was so interesting and she is just so so cute.
and meryl streep is ultimo adore.
alas, it was super adorable anyway.


i just want to kiss stanley tucci on the forehead and feed him cotton candy!

yay! we bought new cookware today.
this is a very exciting moment as i've wanted new
potz and pans for like 3 or 4 years.

yippee for calphalon nonstick cookware.

end all be all.

i made this delicious pasta for din din tonight. it was really easy and i suggest you make it! the only weird thing about the recipe is that it says the wine evaporates in 2 minutes and it took at least 6 for me.... but it was still med-licious!

we ate a marvelous lunch today at a restaurant called Company near our house. It has amazing pizza and a great environment. We were told most people wait for like an hour to get a table (they don't take reservations, natch), but i guess we got there at a good time, cause we sat right down. everything was amazing. it was opened by sullivan street bakery's jim lahey, so i'm not at all surprised.
it was razz-a-mattaz-ical!

ok so i was DEVASTATED when domino closed. like, "i am calling conde nast and cancelling all subscriptions effective immmmmmediately!" not that they would have given a rat's tiddly wink. but, i have found a newer, not as clever, but just as useful boyfriend. a rebound if you will. i switched the remainder of my domino's for... wait for it wait for it....
